Luckily, this is Miami, and there are plenty of delicious options where you can dock, dine, and enjoy a few drinks. Here, we invite you to discover some of Miami's best waterfront restaurants accessible by boat, from Miami Beach to the Miami River.

We initially compiled a list of our top 10 Miami Dock-and-Dine Restaurants, and now we’re on to 17 because they’re just so good! From the tried and true Rusty Pelican to the romantic Kiki on the River, we've got you and your crew covered with a varied list of waterfront dining spots. 

So, without further ado, here are the best Miami boat-up restaurants!

What we love about it: One of the trendiest spots on our list, with an enchanting waterfront setting in a historic building reminiscent of the Mediterranean.

Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired restaurant from Groot Hospitality  that opened in October 2023 in Miami's historic Women's Club and has taken the burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood by storm. The name, Casadonna, is a fusion of Italian words that translate to “house of the woman”.

The most exquisite clientele, including celebrities, love to come here for the wonderful Riviera-style Italian cooking, featuring the freshest and finest local and imported products combined with signature handcrafted dishes. Inspiration is drawn from traditional recipes from the coastal towns of Naples, Taormina, Bari, Positano, and Gaeta.

Close to 20,000 square feet of indoor, al fresco, and bar seating with glistening waterfront views spanning the length of the bay-facing terrace make it an ideal place for a romantic dinner or a lively weekend brunch, when they offer a set three-course menu.

If you arrive by boat, Casadonna has access to an incredible marina for yacht accommodations on Biscayne Bay directly behind the restaurant. What we love about it: Elevated surf-and-turf with world-class steak and king crab.

Sharing the historic Miami Women’s Club building with Casadonna, Klaw offers one of the city’s most refined surf-and-turf experiences and best happy hour views. Ranked 42nd among the
World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants in 2024, it is known for its hand-selected dry-aged beef, sustainably sourced king crab flown in from Norway and ultra-fresh oysters. The menu pairs perfectly with an extensive wine list and a selection of craft cocktails, all served in a striking waterfront setting.

The restaurant’s multi-level design includes intimate dining rooms, a dramatic raw bar, and one of Miami’s most impressive rooftop lounges. From here, guests enjoy panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the city skyline, making Klaw as much about the atmosphere as it is about the cuisine.

 Similar to Casadonna, if you are boating here, you can dock your boat at the Venetian Marina and Yacht Club, right on Biscayne Bay.

This one is a longtime Miami original. Overlooking the glittering waters of Biscayne Bay on the Rickenbacker Causeway on the way to Key Biscayne, The Rusty Pelican is upscale waterfront dining at its finest and a favorite hangout to pull up to by boat any time of the day.

Enjoy an eclectic menu of the area's best fresh fish and seafood, as well as surf and turf options, sushi, salads, and appetizers inspired by the flavors of Latin America and the Caribbean, all while beholding the sparkling city lights along the waterfront and relaxing to cool, soothing music. 

Boat up, dock at the marina, and enjoy lunch or dinner — although we highly recommend coming for the weekend brunch, which is one of the best in town


Monty’s Raw Bar

Address: 2550 S. Bayshore Drive, Coconut Grove
What we love about it: The most traditional waterside raw bar experience in Miami.

Monty's Raw Bar is a Miami institution for boaters, set along the shores of Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove. With a large, covered, outdoor seating area and main indoor dining room, it's always alive and buzzing. In fact, you can't genuinely say you've arrived in Miami until you've spent an evening eating, drinking, and relaxing at Monty's! 

The ultimate seaside raw bar, Monty's delivers an energized environment with live music, hefty portions of fresh seafood, fabulous drinks, Caribbean flavor, and everything that makes the Miami lifestyle.

Come for the sunset but plan to stay longer than expected, and make sure to try the fresh oysters. Other can’t-miss dishes include the conch fritters, the mahi mahi fingers, and the popcorn shrimp. Dock at the marina or call the Boat Master in advance.

And if you can’t get enough Monty’s, check out their sister restaurant on South Beach, Monty’s Sunset, which also offers boat-up dining and a classic raw bar menu. There’s even a pool there!


Bayshore Club

What we love about it: An easy-going Coconut Grove dining spot with unmatched bay views.

Located at the historic Pan Am seaplane terminal, the Bayshore Club channels Miami’s Golden Age of travel with a relaxed, open-air setting on Biscayne Bay. It’s a favorite among boaters cruising into Coconut Grove who want to dock and enjoy a casual yet stylish meal by the water.

The menu highlights seafood towers, fresh oysters, and shareable plates, paired with craft cocktails that suit the breezy Grove vibe. With plenty of outdoor seating and unbeatable bay views, it’s the kind of place where brunch can stretch into sunset without you even noticing.

Zuma Miami

What we love about it: The chic and minimalist Japanese vibe.

Internationally known Zuma, located at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel on the Miami River, surprises with a unique Japanese informal bar (or izakaya) and a robata-grill menu. It is easily the
best boat-up restaurant in Miami’s Downtown and one of the best outdoor restaurants in Miami.

Dine by the bay on Zuma's casual outdoor terrace and choose from over 80 varieties of sake while enjoying the relaxed dining experience built around small dishes known as izakaya, long a favorite way to dine in London, Hong Kong, Istanbul, and Dubai.

The menu has an indulgent flair, featuring chilled seafood towers, Wagyu steaks, and elevated American classics, all served with a side of old-school charm. Whether you’re here for cocktails and music or a long, elegant dinner, Delilah delivers a one-of-a-kind Miami experience.

Casa Neos

What we love about it: Mediterranean dining meets beach-club energy.

Casa Neos combines upscale dining with the energy of a Mediterranean beach club. This multi-level venue features a fine dining restaurant, a members-only club, the MM Beach Club, and a stylish rooftop concept, making it as much a lifestyle destination as a restaurant.

The menu celebrates coastal Mediterranean flavors, with dishes designed for sharing, paired with craft cocktails and curated wines. By day, it’s a chic spot to dock and enjoy a long, relaxed meal. By night, it transforms into a glamorous social scene with a soundtrack to match.

Boaters can pull up right on the river and step into an atmosphere that blends the sophistication of European Riviera dining with Miami’s unmistakable flair. Garcia’s Seafood Grill and Market

What we love about it: The old Florida local fish market.

Another
top boat-up restaurant on the Miami waterfront and something of a big deal in the city, Garcia's Seafood Grille has been around since before the Miami River got its makeover, back when it used to be fodder for scriptwriters working on Miami Vice. Even then, it was worth making the trip to North River Drive to eat super fresh seafood.

Set along the Miami River and offering a distinctively Cuban and classic seafood menu, Garcia's Seafood Grille has been a waterfront mainstay, featuring no-nonsense classics such as fried whole snapper, paella, lobster mac and cheese, conch fritters and sides like tostones rellenos (fried plantains stuffed with spicy shrimp). They also have a fish market, so you can take the best fresh fish and shellfish home.

Prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is very relaxed. It is one of those down-to-earth places you'll keep coming back to, whether by land or sea. Casablanca Seafood Bar & Grill

What we love about it: The upscale, fresh seafood dining experience.

Next door to Garcia's, with a slightly more upscale vibe, Casablanca Seafood Bar & Grill serves up excellent ultra-fresh classic seafood dishes and special signature fare such as crab-stuffed lobster. It has long been considered one of the best waterfront restaurants in Miami, and for good reason.

This internationally inspired eatery features a raw bar with an impressive lineup of ceviches and tiraditos, as well as South Florida standards such as stone crabs (seasonal), coconut shrimp, and grilled octopus. 

Boat up to the docks, relax, and enjoy the laid-back romantic vibe as you watch fishing boats and your fellow boat enthusiasts cruising on the river. Dockage is generally free if you are dining. Call the restaurant at 305-371-4107 for more details.


Seaspice Brasserie & Lounge

Address: 412 NW N River Drive, Miami River
What we love about it: The creative and refined culinary excellence.

For an experience that makes you feel like you're worthy of walking on water, splurge on the refined culinary luxury at the ritzy Seaspice Brasserie & Lounge. With incredible views of the river and the Miami skyline, Seaspice's menu highlights unique signature offerings.

Start your night at this open-air restaurant with a Wagyu steak tartare, continue with the market seafood bouillabaisse or the free-range Australian rack of lamb cooked on volcanic hot stones, and finish off with the magnificent grand seafood platter and seafood towers that feature two pounds of lobster, prawns, fresh oysters, and Alaskan king crab. 

If you're looking to boat-up, or yacht-up, for ultra-fine dining, this is the place. You can also dine from the menu on your vessel. Call ahead for docking reservations and information. Kiki on the River

What we love about it: The lively Greek-inspired atmosphere.

Miami River restaurant with a dock. With an exotic Greek menu and a romantic outdoor patio on its 150-foot dock overlooking the water, this carefully decorated spot recreates the flavors and character of the Mediterranean with specialties such as their seafood tower and Kiki fries with feta cheese.

Sunday is funday at Kiki on the River with parading champagne bottles and napkin-twirling rituals that will keep you partying all night to fresh beats provided by the house DJ. You'll need to make reservations if you're coming by boat, and dockage is not always free, especially on the weekend. Formal attire is required. Call 786-502-3243 for more information.


Lido Bayside Grill at The Standard Spa

What we love about it: The sunset at this chic waterfront location.

The Lido Bayside Grill at the Standard Hotel is a culinary oasis surrounded by the tranquil waters of Biscayne Bay on the west side of South Beach, just next to Sunset Harbour. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can also enjoy an amazing dockside Happy Hour Monday through Thursday with specialty drinks from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 10 to 11:30 p.m. 

The insane view and vibe here is unlike anything in Miami, all while dining on can’t-miss raw bar delicacies like coconut tuna ceviche, an array of surf and turf dishes, and delicacies like prawn bisque polenta, pan-seared scallops, and yuzu watermelon salad. You’ll also find perfect burgers, locally inspired salads, and vegetarian offerings, along with the opportunity to enjoy the grounds, like the firepit and swinging chairs in the garden.

It’s definitely one of our favorite dock-and-dine restaurants in Miami, where you'll feel right at home. They have a few hundred feet of dock space available for boats up to 40 feet, which you can use on a first-come, first-serve basis for a docking fee of $100 for the first four hours and $50 for each additional hour. 

This gives you plenty of time to relax and enjoy a laid-back meal along with a few delicious cocktails in a peaceful setting with amazing music. Please make a dinner reservation first by calling 786-245-0880. 

South Beach, by the way, is a very popular neighborhood for all boat owners as it has a great choice of condos with boat slips.


Baia Beach Club

What we love about it: The sophisticated outdoor ambiance reminiscent of a trip to Mykonos

Set overlooking the water with incredible views of the Miami skyline, sunsets and the full expanse of Biscayne Bay, Baia Beach Club offers direct marina access and incredible dining options of the freshest Mediterranean fare on West Avenue in Miami Beach. Here, you can
dock and dine in Miami, reserve a waterfront cabana, daybed, or bungalow by the pool, or choose to eat indoors or alfresco in an oasis that will transport you to the Mediterranean.

Serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, Baia Beach Club has something for everyone, with dishes meant for sharing. From Chioggia beets salad to oysters, grilled octopus, and tuna tartare, boat up and sample a full menu of flavors from land and sea, along with delicious hand-crafted cocktails.

Pamplemousse on the Bay is a chic newcomer to South Beach, offering a menu that fuses Mediterranean and Latin flavors in a stylish yet relaxed waterfront setting. Expect fresh seafood, perfectly grilled steaks, and seasonal dishes served in an elegant garden-patio atmosphere. 

Menu highlights include the delectable lobster salad and mocktails such as martini, Aperol spritz, and amaretto sour that taste just as good as their spirited counterparts.

The convenience also makes it one of the best boat-up restaurants on the Miami waterfront: you can park your boat steps away and walk straight into the restaurant. 

With its combination of refined cuisine, casual-chic design, and prime waterfront location, Pamplemousse is quickly becoming a go-to dock-and-dine spot in South Beach.

The atmosphere is casual-chic, easy enough for a relaxed afternoon but stylish enough to keep the energy high as the sun sets. With dock space available, it’s an effortless stop for boaters looking to mix great food, good drinks, and Miami’s signature elevated, waterfront vibe.

Under the updated proposal, the duo seeks to increase the number of condo units from 76 to 88, along with the addition of 113 hotel rooms. The project will also feature 1,800 square feet of commercial space and 200 parking spaces. Designed by FSMY Architects + Planners, the condo-hotel will rise 14 stories with a separate four-story parking structure. Interiors will be led by UK-based 1508 London. Each home will feature Italian kitchens outfitted with branded appliances and glass balconies affording panoramic views of the ocean, intracoastal, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, and the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens. Two rooftop amenity decks anchor the project, providing separate spaces for residents and hotel guests to unwind. Units will range from 372 to 1,252 square feet, with dedicated entrances for the condo and hotel portions. Launch prices started at $1.4 million, with a choice of studios to three-bedroom residences. The development site is part of The Pomp mixed-use project, where Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino is already open. As per plans filed back in 2024, Lennar proposed building 344 condos and 82 townhomes on the site. The complex will be home to buildings no taller than seven stories and feature a clubhouse with a fitness center and at least one pool. ### One on One Harbor Beach (also Harbor Drive Residences) – Fort Lauderdale In late December, Camaco Development submitted plans for a 240-foot, 21-story residential tower to the city’s Planning and Zoning Board in December. The project requires special city approval to exceed the 120-foot limit. The building name is not clear yet, with both Harbor Drive Residences and One on One Harbor Beach found in project documentation. It is slated for a January 21 review before the planning and zoning board. Designed by Adache Group Architects and Kora, the waterfront tower is expected to rise with only 36 luxury residences, including two 9,000 square feet penthouses, a five-story parking podium, and a sprawling amenity deck on the seventh floor. Units will feature larger-than-average layouts and start from the fifth floor. Amenities will likely include a pool, a private pool bar, a gym, a game room, and a wellness center. Located at 3049 and 3043 Harbor Drive, the 0.8-acre site sits south of the upcoming St. Regis Bahia Mar & Yachting Center and north of the Harbourage Place condominium. If approved, the transit-oriented One Boca would also be home to another mixed-use project featuring 182 condo units at 141 Northwest Fourth Street, a privately owned parcel. The developers are currently under contract to acquire the site. If council members approve the first reading, the lease agreement will be presented to voters for final ratification in March. As per earlier reports, the developers have also proposed a community benefits package, including a reimagined version of Memorial Park, a new city hall and community center, a World War II memorial, a new tennis center with up to 10 clay courts, a playground with banyan trees, and a new children’s museum. ### Kadima Developers Acquires Casino-Adjacent Lot – Hallandale Beach Hot on the heels of breaking ground on Seven Park in Hallandale Beach, Miami-based Kadima Developers made headlines again with the purchase of a 12.2-acre vacant lot next door to the Big Easy Casino. The parcel sits just 10 minutes from the beach, five minutes from the under development, and within walking distance of the neighborhood’s top restaurants. Billionaire Jeffrey Soffer sold the site at 831 North Federal Highway, not including the casino, for $31.1 million. Kadima plans on developing the parcel into a master-planned community, featuring a mix of condos, apartments, retail, entertainment, and warehouse space.
